The article points out that the modification of the thermal calculation method of the screen superheater is one of the main differences between the 73-year standard and the 57-year standard of the Soviet Union. The starting point for its amendment is correct, but some of the changes worth discussing. Based on the basic principles of thermal engineering, this paper discusses the source of the heat transfer coefficient of the pipe wall and the heat transfer coefficient of the screen in the 73-year standard. 1.
