思考图书馆学理论研究的未来发展时,我们应该认真读一读这种研究的历史与现实这部“教科书”。建国以后头三十年的图书馆学理论研究有两大特征:其一,承袭中国近代图书馆学的传统,理论研究设有得到足够的重视;其二,理论研究以关于研究对象、学科定义、学科性质等“学科原理”课题以及关于图书馆的性质、职能、地位等一类“图书馆原理”课题为“热点”。我们看到,揭开建国以后第一次图书馆学研究高潮序幕的便是“什么是图书馆学”一文。七十年代末,中国学术迎来了建国以后的最好时期,并掀起一股理论热。科学在复苏,图书馆学也在复苏。这时,审视理论现状,我们感觉到(而且只是感觉到)图书馆学理论太少,理论层次太低,学科不成体系。与其它学科的横向比较,则让人们屈辱地感受到图书馆学理论的寒酸,感受到了图书馆学地位的低下,并认为前者是后者的原因。于是,虽然也
When thinking about the future development of theoretical research in library science, we should read carefully the “textbook” of the history and reality of such research.
