余自幼爱诗书,不及绘事。一九六二年蒙彭八百先生之荐,先后拜访郭风惠、陈云诰、郑诵先、吴玉如、萧劳诸先生,使眼界豁然,受益良多。三十五岁始从秦仲文先生画竹梅,未及三载,秦师病逝。又向王雪涛先生学花卉,得二师指授,渐知画理,此一生之幸也。然固性迟拙,且学又晚,自知难成,而兴之所致,自难废焉。讲读之
