近年来,杭州市公安局经济技术开发区分局紧紧围绕打造“平安和谐开发区”这一主题,强打击、严防控、重管理、优服务,为开发区加快建设“国际先进制造业基地、新世纪大学城和花园式生态型城市副中心”创造了持续稳定的社会治安环境。2004年至2006年,全区连续3年没有发生重大群体性事件和治安事故,刑事发案连续两年呈下降态势,人均破案数和打击处理数连续3年位居全省同类地区前3名。同时,该分局还连续两年蝉联开发区人民满意单位,2次被评为全省、全市打防控优胜单位。
