One of the most common problems with gold-porcelain joints is how to repair the porcelain surface of porcelain restoration. The purpose of this experiment is to determine the impact of the different surface treatments of the ceramic fused metal repair on the bond strength. Materials and Methods The samples were Bioband II alloy castings and were randomly divided into three surface treatment groups: metal, porcelain and metal-ceramic bonded surfaces. The experiment tested the combination of Bioband porcelain system and commercial repair porcelain. The metal surface treatment group was further divided into two groups: control group and sandblasting group (Al 2 O 3, 50 mesh, 20s).
