Neoglycoproteins of human serum albumin (HSA) modifiedwith some kind of carbohydrates were synthesized. Theirmolecular weight and purification were determined by HPSECand SDS-PAGE, respectively. The binding properties of theseconjugates to hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) were evaluated byconfocal fluorescence microscopy. The bioactivity revealed thatcompound 4a (HSA modified with glucose) showed high bind-ing affinity.
