Sorting with conventional heavy media at high densities (> 3 g / mL) is more difficult, leading to the development and improvement of MHD separators. Magnetic fluid static separation technology is based on the material particles in the magnetic field under the magnetic fluid relative density (and magnetic susceptibility) for sorting. Much of the research in this area has focused on the development of continuous magnetic separators for industrial production. This article describes a laboratory interrupter that has been manufactured with the improvements of a magnetic classifier such as Frantz. The magnetic separator can be based on the relative density of the material particles, coarse particles of material (600 ~ 850μm) for rapid sorting. The magnetic separator can also be used for “heavy liquid” analysis.
