在温室中可调节控制温湿度,因此有利于赤座霉菌对温室白粉虱的寄生。黄瓜的栽培条件给赤座霉菌的发育以特别有利的小气候。在黄瓜上我们用从印度、古巴、越南、中国和岛引入的10种赤座霉菌的类型进行了防治温室白粉虱的试验。在温室应用赤座霉菌的试验表明,赤座霉菌可引起粉虱若虫死亡72~98%,可抑制粉虱数量在经济为害水平以下。但是,只有将悬浮菌液细微均匀地喷到叶子背面时,才可能获得达样的效果。而在生产条件下,很难将菌液均匀周密地喷到叶子背面上,如果不能做到达一点,粉虱数量就要迅速恢复,因而还必须配合应用杀虫剂来消灭粉虱成虫。
