熔制磷铜的主要关键是要特别注意其严密性,合金料的烘干和熔化都要在密闭状态中进行。我厂制备的合金料中混合有粉末状的熔剂,混合的方法为铜层+熔剂+磷粉+水,磷粉力图搅拌均匀。熔化时,在熔制的坩埚口上塗上一层泥浆水,沿坩埚口放上一圈耐火泥,套上同号的旧坩埚作盖,并用铅丝捆实。然后在两坩埚的接缝处糊上一层耐火泥,放入炉中,加入焦炭至盖没埚盖。当焦炭燃烧至白炽程度时进行通炉,是否再添入焦炭,视合金料的熔点和熔化数量而定。当合金料熔化后,即可起埚倾入铁模内浇成磷铜块。磷铜块的断面呈白色,很脆,加热后断面的能变色。
