From 1940 to 1944, Guanxi Monthly, published by Gu Lengang, was the head of the “Four Famous Festivals” in the Occupied Area in Shanghai. It also represented the appearance of magazines in this period: Began to be dominated by old school writers, but was soon replaced by a group of young writers who embraced the new culture. It showed a strong tendency of convergence between the old and the new, and also expressed in a language, technique and form that Chinese loved to read The Characteristics of Modern Western Ideology. Compared with other magazines in the same period, the position of “Novel Monthly” is more elegant, more realistic and carefree, with a more peaceful style and more theoretical color.
