落羽杉(Taxodium distichum)是珍贵的用材和优美的观赏树种,原产北美,本世纪初引入我国,它和我国的水杉、水松一样,同为古老的孑遗植物。落羽杉是阳性树种,喜温暖,耐水湿,生长快,材质好,适应性强,病虫害少。广东省曾于1927年和1933年,先后将其引种到东莞太平和广州石牌。七十年代以来,广东省落羽杉造林有很大的发展,落羽杉(包括池杉T.ascendens,下同)不仅是城市园林的绿化树种,而且成为全省平原水网地区
Taxodium distichum is precious timber and beautiful ornamental tree species, originating in North America, introduced into our country at the beginning of this century. It is similar to China’s Metasequoia, cork, and is an ancient relict plant. Taxodium is a positive tree species, hi warm, water-wet, fast growth, good material, adaptability, fewer pests and diseases. Guangdong Province in 1927 and 1933, it has been introduced to Dongguan, Taiping and Guangzhou Shipai. Since the 1970s, there has been a great development in the afforestation of Taxodium distichum in Guangdong Province.
