多元智能理论认为人类的智能是多元的,每个人至少同时拥有八种不同的智能,而且这些智能同等重要,教学就是要发展学生的各种智能,造就德智体美劳等各方面协调发展的人。传统的教学往往以培养和评估语言智能和逻辑—数学智能为主,而很大一部分学生对此不不擅长。如果还是以传统的教学方式来教学所有学生,很容易掩盖他们的特点,抹杀他们的特长,打击他们学习语文的积极性。多元智能理论启示我们语文教学工作者,即使在语文教学中,也努力为学生创设实现多种智能发展的情景,多途径地评价学生语文学业成绩,尽可能地让每一位学生体验到成功的乐趣,从而激发他们学习语文的内在动机,培养他们对语文的兴趣,以及鉴赏语文的能力。
