大豆灰斑病大流行年,能使大豆严重减产和降低品质。灰斑病病原菌,在降雨和有露条件下,日平均气温17℃、最低气温12℃才能产生孢子;分生孢子萌发的最适温度为21~26℃;气温在20℃以上时,病菌在大豆叶上潜育期为9~12天,在豆荚上的潜育期为20~24天。病残体是主要初侵染源。大豆结荚盛期至鼓粒中期,连继降雨有利于灰斑病流行,病粒率高。在大豆的荚期至鼓粒初期前,用多菌灵或甲基托布津防治,能控制病害流行,使病粒率降低到允许的经济损失以下。
