政治美学立足于多学科交叉的理论背景,力求从政治—美学—文学的多维角度,在社会、文化等意义上,对新时期文学研究展开更多元的阐释。《班主任》、《荚蓉镇》和《棋王》作为新时期小说的代表性作品,既有着对“文革”时代的控诉揭发和深刻反思,也有着某种自觉的对现实政治的脱离,但是它们都保留了“文革”时代的政治记忆。以政治美学的理论视角切入这三篇小说的“文革”叙事,不仅可以窥见“文革”政治运动对民众心理的影响,即国家权力通过可感知的审美形式——政治符号、政治行为、政治话语,对个体情感结构进行塑造;同时,也可看到国家政治权力运动如何强有力地影响着新时期作家的小说叙事,时代政治对经历过“文革”的作家有着抹不掉的情感记忆。
