“五四”以来关于中国文化出路的争论 ,主要围绕在中西文化孰优孰劣以及该如何整合的问题上。梁漱溟和胡适曾就此做出了截然不同的回答 ,体现了异质文化在交流、冲突、选择、调适、融合中的阵痛。再次审视上述思想冲突的历史 ,不难看出二者在中西文化差异及其发展前景上 ,在中国文化该向何处去、该如何整合中西文化等问题上存在着难已掩饰的缺陷。同时 ,我们必须认识到二者对文化整合过程中影响文化发展的因素及其内部文化机理给予了细腻、详尽的论述。因而 ,对中国文化发展历程起到了毋庸置疑的影响 ,新民主主义文化正是借鉴、吸收了二者的合理成份 ;克服、超越了二者的自身局限 ,突破了文化重建中的思维定势 ,使中国文化的发展走出“保守”和“西化”的两极徘徊 ,为中国新文化的确立和发展开创了崭新的局面
The controversy over the way out of Chinese culture since the May 4th Movement mainly revolves around the issue of what is the best of both Chinese and Western cultures and how to integrate them. At the same time, we must realize that both of them give a detailed and exhaustive exposition of the factors that affect the development of culture and their internal cultural mechanisms during the process of cultural integration. Therefore, the development of Chinese culture has played an undoubted influence, the new democratic culture is to learn from and absorb the two rational components; to overcome and beyond the limitations of both, breaking the thinking of the trend of cultural reconstruction, Make the development of Chinese culture go beyond the poles of “conservative” and “westernized” and create a brand new situation for the establishment and development of Chinese new culture
