1999年以来,当阳卷烟厂大力实施产品创新、名牌兴厂战略,在产品开发、市场开拓上取得了显著成绩,在全省同规模企业中创造了一类烟销量、单箱收入、综合效益三项第一。全年共完成卷烟销量15.52万箱,实现销售收入6.4亿元,比上年增加1个亿;上交税金1.4亿元,比上年增加2200万元。“关公”牌注册商标被省政府评为“湖北省第二届著名商标”。
