The formation and discharge of pollutants in diesel engines are determined by the specific conditions of the mixing process of fuel and air, the distribution of equivalent mixing ratio in the corresponding space and time, and the temperature of the combustion chamber. For a given type of combustion chamber, the mixing of the fuel air largely depends on the characteristics of the fuel injection device and the intensity of the air vortex. In order to reduce the emission of diesel pollutants, we need to understand the role of these variables. With this in mind, experiments and analysis were conducted in the authors’ company on the role of fuel injection equipment and other variables. Some results have been reported (see References 1-
