伞齿輪毛坯的形状比較复杂(如图1),原來需要两火才能鍛成(压脚并镦粗,錘下滾清棱,冲孔整形),而且不能鍛出錐状来,需要花費大量的机械加工工时,材料又浪費了很多。同志們針对这种情况提出化多火为一火,改进一付鍛模(图2),終于实現了伞齿輪毛坯的一火化鍛造。鍛造过程如图3所示。用110×135毫米的圆鋼(重10公斤)放在鍛模中打到同模口接近,这时镦粗部分由于塑性变形形成了錐状;接着把上模套上燜打,燜好后把模具翻个放在漏盘上把鍛坯投出。上模有一个φ30×8的圓冲头,起自定中心作用,可以在
