Introduction Over the past 30 years, Australia has undergone major reforms in its review of federal administrative practices. The most fundamental part of these reforms is legislation, which creates a unique mechanism for judicial review and extends to many aspects of common law-based judicial review. At the same time, as in the English courts, courts of justice in Australia have developed relevant laws governing judicial review in response to the executive functions of the government, which plays an increasingly important role in both group and private life. Because some elements of Australian administrative law are ingenious and the development of case law in Australia differs in some respects from the English law, what we know as “a set of norms of the administrative law of the country”
