吉恩·格罗斯曼是美国著名的经济学家。他的学术兴趣广泛,研究成果颇丰。本文主要评述他在经济增长理论、贸易的政治经济学、国际产业组织理论、外包理论四个方面的突出贡献。以他为代表的基于R&D的内生增长理论被认为是最有前途的经济增长理论;他对于贸易政策的政治经济学分析,使人们认识到贸易保护政策背后的理性;他在国际产业组织方面的研究,促进了产业组织理论与国际贸易理论的融合;他在外包研究中,对外包成本及其影响的分析引人入胜。
Jean Grossman is a famous American economist. His wide range of academic interests, research results quite good. This article mainly reviews his outstanding contributions in four aspects: economic growth theory, political economy of trade, international industrial organization theory and outsourcing theory. The theory of endogenous growth based on R & D represented by him is regarded as the most promising theory of economic growth. His political and economic analysis of trade policy has brought people’s awareness of the rationale behind the trade protection policy. He has made great achievements in international industrial organization The research promoted the integration of industrial organization theory and international trade theory. In the research of outsourcing, he analyzed the outsourcing cost and its influence fascinating.
