In the literature, Idiopathic edema in the standing position of plasma renin activity (PRA) and aldosterone (PA) over-reaction, resulting in sodium and water retention, there are different opinions. Previous authors have found that normal (even in lying position) aldosterone secretion is paroxysmal, peak before and after waking up in the morning. The aim of this study was to determine if the circadian rhythm of aldosterone secretion changes in patients with idiopathic edema and to study the relationship between aldosterone secretion and timely plasma cortisol and renin activity. Four female patients with idiopathic edema who had been treated for 3 to 20 years were selected as subjects, with light to moderate water during the study period
