一九七三年在日本五岛美术馆“昭和兰亭纪念展”上首次公开于世的《妹至帖》和近期又在日本发现的《大报帖》的图片经人缀合,发现二者在纸质纹理、纸面磨损和老化痕迹等方面存在天然的一致性,并认为二者原本一帖,后被裁割。笔者根据目前相关帖文研究结果,结合王羲之存世书法与尺犊文献资料,从通释全文着眼考察两帖缀合后的释文,认为两帖所述之事也存在联系,其释文句读当为:
