目的探讨EMS1(mammary tumour and squamous cell carcinoma-associated gene 1)蛋白在食管鳞状细胞癌组织中的表达及其临床意义。方法应用免疫组织化学SP法检测74例食管鳞状细胞癌组织中EMS1蛋白的表达,分析其与临床病理因素的关系。结果 EMS1蛋白定位于细胞胞浆及细胞膜下或胞浆皮质区。EMS1蛋白在食管鳞状细胞癌组织中的表达率(74.3%)明显高于其在癌旁组织中的表达率(31.1%),差异有显著性(P<0.01)。EMS1蛋白表达与食管鳞状细胞癌的浸润深度、淋巴结转移及临床TNM分期密切相关(P<0.05或P<0.01)。而与患者的年龄、性别、肿瘤大小及组织分化程度无关(P>0.05)。结论 EMS1蛋白是食管鳞状细胞癌发展、侵袭和转移的重要生物标志物。对判断食管鳞状细胞癌的淋巴结转移和其生物学行为以及临床预后具有较高的临床应用价值。
Objective To investigate the expression of human mammary tumor of squamous cell carcinoma-associated gene 1 (EMS1) in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and its clinical significance. Methods The expression of EMS1 protein in 74 cases of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma was detected by immunohistochemical SP method. The relationship between the expression of EMS1 protein and clinicopathological factors was analyzed. Results EMS1 protein located in the cytoplasm and subcellular membrane or cytoplasmic cortex. The positive rate of EMS1 protein in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (74.3%) was significantly higher than that in paracancerous tissues (31.1%) (P <0.01). The expression of EMS1 protein was closely related to the invasion depth, lymph node metastasis and clinical stage of TNM in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (P <0.05 or P <0.01). However, it was not related to the patient’s age, sex, tumor size and the degree of tissue differentiation (P> 0.05). Conclusion EMS1 protein is an important biomarker for the development, invasion and metastasis of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. To determine the esophageal squamous cell carcinoma of the lymph node metastasis and its biological behavior and clinical prognosis of high clinical value.
