Recently, the State Council approved the publication of a list of government special allowances granted by the State Council in 2008. Comrade Hao Zi-guo, deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Geological Society and editor-in-chief of The Geological Journal, is one of eight honored scientists and technologists in the Ministry of Land and Resources.
