This article focuses on the heroes’ heroism implied in the three centuries of American 19th century American plantation legends, romances and legends of the Southern Commonwealth, and analyzes the narrative elements of heroes in this period from the text reading The Narrative Paradigm of Heroes in 19th Century American Southern Literature.
