本文从历史的逻辑展开和具体的历史情况两个方面,对中华文化传统的秩序性理念资源进行考察,认为宋明道学产生时,先秦儒法两家的秩序义与道墨两家的自由义,从自由义方面已经转换成为禅、道两家与儒、法两家之间的进退消长,并将儒、道互补的新品格理解为某种有意无意间形成的文化策略,强调华夏文明整体形态上的完整性和自我调适性。
