Many critics think Dickens still has no shortage of readers, because his novels convey a “universal”. This paper argues that such “universality” lies in the richness and reality of ethics in Dickens novels. Dickens respected the happy relationship between the sexes and the healthy children’s education. All his works were clearly defined as “the purpose and purpose” and aimed at criticizing the existing system and class. He valued the religious educational function and believed in the power of redemption. Industrial civilization is conservative. His ethical thoughts on family, society, religion and ecology are still of great practical significance in the continuous call for family harmony, cultural tolerance, religious dialogue and harmonious coexistence between man and nature.
