当一个符号的意义主要来自于交流双方的时候,这样的符号是社会符号。它的功能处于突出的位置。社会符号包括两个方面:反映社会意识形态的符号和用于人际交流的标志性,仪式性的符号。本文论述的身势语即用于人际交流的标志性符号之一。身势即身体动作,是言语交际中伴随话语并用以加强话语表现力或具有某种信号、符号等意义的身体动作和手势。
When the meaning of a symbol mainly comes from the exchange of both parties, such symbols are social symbols. Its function is in a prominent position. Social symbols include two aspects: the symbols that reflect the social ideology and the symbolic and ceremonial symbols that are used for interpersonal communication.
