In July 1983, Telectronic proposed to the hospital that various models of Telectronic pacemakers (models 160B, 161,171,171E, 173 and 280) powered by CRC800 tandem cells have variable life expectancy. Therefore, patients with these pacemakers Must be followed up and closely monitored. This article followed 65 cases of patients using these pacemakers, 30 males and 35 females, aged 32 to 94 years. METHODS: Pacemaker life was calculated as an end-of-life (EOL) reduction of pacing rate by 5.5 bpm (beat per minure) at implantation. Eol is predicted by the least squares linear regression of pacing frequency versus time, which is computer implemented and the output is expressed as a linear equation: R = MT + C
