I feel honoured to tell you something about the mascot. The mascot, named Haibao, is like a confident and cute kid. Haibao means “treasure of the world” as well as “treasure of Shanghai”. It is in the shape of the Chinese character ren, meaning people or a person. The colour blue stands for water, sea, the earth, life, dreams, the future and technology.

Good afternoon! I feel honoured to have the chance to speak here. I will tell you something about the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay. It is called “journey of harmony”, which is the longest torch relay in Olympic history. As volunteers, we performed a variety of roles to help make the exciting event a success.
