S 100蛋白是21染色体长臂22.2~22.3带β亚单位上的一低分子量钙络合蛋白。这一区域也是可靠的唐氏综合征表型表达。先前的研究证实,成年唐氏综合征患者脑组织中S 100蛋白免疫反应增加。作者在以前已发现21三体胎血中 S 100蛋白浓度较正常胎儿高,因此该研究的目的是为了调查母血中S 100蛋白浓度的检测作为唐氏综合征的筛选方法。
The S 100 protein is a low molecular weight calcogenin on the long arm of chromosome 21 22.2-22.3 with a beta subunit. This area is also a reliable phenotype of Down Syndrome. Previous studies confirmed that S 100 protein immunoreactivity was increased in brain tissue of adult patients with Down’s syndrome. The authors have previously found that S 100 protein levels in trisomy 21 are higher than those in normal fetuses and therefore the purpose of this study was to investigate the detection of S 100 protein concentration in maternal blood as a screening method for Down Syndrome.
