本文对主要线形要素、直线、曲线的优、缺点、从汽车行驶、司机视线、乘客心理、工程经济及测试、放样等方面进行了分析,对直线、曲线的应用条件提出了看法,并根据系统工程学原理,提出不应孤立地限制直线长度,应从线形要素的特点、线形最优组合、地形、环境与线路行车系统整体的功能与作用,统一筹划。应因山、因水、因地、因景而灵活运用,或曲中有直、直中有曲,或曲线为主直线为辅,或直线为主曲线为辅而不是千篇一律,机械规定。
