This paper introduces the car-to-ground communication scheme and compares the car-ground communication modes at home and abroad. The GSM-R network is analyzed in detail. It is pointed out that the GSM-R network with wireless transmission has the functional advantages to adapt to the characteristics of China’s railway transportation , The development of GSM-R network is the trend of China’s railway development.
