Denise Chong’s first novel the Concubine’s Children, not only enjoys the high compliments from the critics but also gains great popular among common readers. This paper intends to study the construction of the identity of Chinese Canadian women in the Concubine’s Children through analyzing the characterization of May-ying from the postcolonial feminism perspective.
