兰考泡桐(Paulownia elongata S.Y.Hu)在泡桐属中突出的特点是生长快,被广泛引种栽培,生产上发展较快。为了探索兰考泡桐埋根育苗技术,确定其推广价值,1977年笔者引种兰考泡桐种根于陆良县林业局作埋根育苗试验,一年生苗平均高3.0米,地径6.4厘米,第二年立春前平茬,优良的植株高达7米,地径8.5厘米,一般高6.0米,地径8.1厘米。1979年从河南省兰考县引进种根50万进行大面积埋根育苗试验,成苗率达80％以上。试验越报如下:
