太平洋协和区位于加拿大温哥华市中心城区，自１９９１年动工至今，已形成与低密度的传统北美城市郊区完全不同的新型城市社区。文章详细介绍了这个城市再开发项目取得成功的２１个关键因素，并指出当前北美城市再发展中的一种新趋势，即文中提出的新城市化现象，其中心内容是建设作为城市有机组成的综合城市社区而不是功能单一的住宅社区。
Pacific Concorde is located in the downtown area of Vancouver, Canada. Since its establishment in 1991, it has formed a completely different type of urban community from the low-density traditional North American city suburbs. The article introduced in detail the 21 key factors for the success of this urban redevelopment project, and pointed out a new trend in the redevelopment of North American cities, namely, the new urbanization phenomenon proposed in the article. The central content of the project is the construction as an organic component of the city. Integrated urban communities rather than functional single residential communities.
