文章阐述了知识信息时效性的内涵,分析了图书文献时效性的特点,并就图书馆员服务的时效性展开论述,认为总图书馆员要充分了解馆藏图书文献的知识信息特点,了解服务读者的价值观念、阅读偏好、审美标准和对知识信息的需求,使读者能最大限度地得到他们最需要的知识信息,图书馆员服务的时效性就能很好地体现出来。
