康家遗址是1973年冬由农民平整土地时首次被发现的。1981年秋全省文物大普查时,对该遗址进行了复查,确认这是一处十分重要的龙山文化村落遗址。同年秋季至1982年春季,西安半坡博物馆和临潼县文化馆联合组成的考古小分队,对该遗址进行了试掘。共计:开探方四个(均7×7米),探沟十一条(均4×7米),试掘面积合计为800平方米。发现了一些房屋遗迹、灰坑、陶窑、墓葬,以及一些汉墓。参加这次试掘工作的有巩启明、郭世元、赵康民、樊巧玲、樊转玲、赵小平和魏世刚等同志。现
The Kang family site was first discovered by peasants in the winter of 1973 when land was laid. In the autumn of 1981, when the province’s cultural relics census was conducted, the site was reviewed to confirm that it was a very important Longshan cultural village ruins.
