The inventor of instant noodles is Japan’s Ando Momofu. After World War II, there was a serious shortage of Japanese food. People could even consume potato seedlings because they could not endure hunger. Ando Momofu ran through a ramen occasionally and saw long lines of dozens of meters lined with rough people in order to eat plain face. He felt helpless, but had a great interest in ramen. In the spring of 1958, Ando Momofu built a 10-square-meter laboratory in its own backyard. To concentrate on research instant noodles, Ando found an old pasta machine, bought a wok, some cooking oil and flour.
