我国现有城镇居民4.9亿人。到2020年,城镇居民将增长到8亿人至8.5亿人。就是说未来15年左右的周期内至少还将有3.5亿人左右的新增城镇人口需要房子住。2003年末中国城镇居民人均住房面积为23.8平方米。2020年城镇居民的人均住房面积可能要达35平方米。每个城镇居民的人均住房面积要在目前基础上再增加10平方米以上。
China’s existing urban residents 490 million people. By 2020, urban residents will grow to 800 million to 850 million people. In other words, there will be at least 350 million additional urban population in the next 15 years or so in need of housing. By the end of 2003, the per capita housing area of urban residents in China was 23.8 square meters. The per capita housing area of urban residents in 2020 may be 35 square meters. The per capita housing area of each urban resident should increase by more than 10 square meters on the basis of the present.
