统计资料表明,腐蚀是造成油、气管线事故的主要原因。管线老化和输送更强的腐蚀性流体会增长管线腐蚀和事故率。管线事故所造成的环境影响、安全问题和清理管线泄漏油、气的昂贵费用是相当大的。美国和加拿大的大部分油、气管线的管径为60~168mm,管长一般小于3km。有效的现场检测油、气管线技术是非常有限的,同时没有可以采用的检测管径小于114.3mm管线的满足要求工具。现已研制出一种用于检测小管径管线的磁漏式检测系统。
Statistics show that corrosion is the main cause of oil and gas pipeline accidents. Aging pipelines and delivering more corrosive fluids can increase pipeline corrosion and accident rates. The environmental impact caused by pipeline accidents, safety issues and the expensive cost of oil and gas leaking from pipelines are considerable. Most of the oil and gas pipelines in the United States and Canada have a diameter of 60 to 168 mm and a pipe length of less than 3 km. Effective on-site testing of oil and gas pipeline technology is very limited, but there is no acceptable test tool to meet the requirements of pipeline diameter less than 114.3mm. A magnetic leak detection system has been developed for the detection of small pipe diameters.
