民族精神和时代精神是一个民族自立于世界民族之林,不断生存和发展的精神支撑。在五千多年的发展中,中华民族形成了以爱国主义为核心的民族精神。在改革开放新时期,又形成了以改革创新为核心的时代精神。在新世纪新阶段,这种精神对中华民族的凝聚、激励作用越来越突出,已深深熔铸在民族的生命力、创造力和凝聚力之中,成为社会主义核心价值体系中的精髓。
The national spirit and the spirit of the times are the spiritual support for a nation to survive and develop independently from the world’s nations. In the course of more than 5,000 years of development, the Chinese nation has formed a national spirit with patriotism as its core. In the new period of reform and opening up, the spirit of the times centered on reform and innovation has also been formed. In the new phase of the new century, this spirit has become more and more prominent in the cohesion and encouragement of the Chinese nation and has been deeply immersed in the vitality, creativity and cohesion of the nation and has become the essence of the socialist core value system.
