这次研讨会的发起人铃木阳一先生交给我的题目是《中国古典小说研究30年回顾与展望》,如此大题,恕我菲才,无法在此向各位作全面概括地报告,现以白话小说研究为中心,将本人的研究向各位作一汇报。小说尤其是白话小说成为中国文学研究对象,是在20世纪以后,为我们奠定研究基础并作出模范的是胡适、鲁迅和孙楷第等。胡适给白话小说添加了新式标点,并附了自己的解说出版,鲁迅著作了最早的小说史《中国小说史略》,孙楷第编著《中国通俗小说书目》
The topic presented to me by Mr. Yukihiko Suzuki, the sponsor of this seminar, was “A Review and Prospect of the Study of Chinese Classical Fiction for 30 Years.” Such a big issue would be forgiven by me and could not be fully reported here. Now With the study of vernacular novels as the center, I will make a report on my research. The novel, especially the vernacular novel, becomes the object of study of Chinese literature. It is Hu Shi, Lu Xun and Sun Kai et al that laid the foundation for the study and made the model after the 20th century. Hu Shi added new punctuation to vernacular novels and attached his own commentary and publication. Lu Xun wrote the earliest novel history, “A Brief History of Chinese Fiction”, Sun Kai’s “Book of Popular Chinese Fiction”
