王阳明(1472—1529)一生文治武功俱称于世,而对儒学的理论贡献尤其卓著。其学远承孟子,近继象山,而自成一家,影响超越明代而及于今后,风靡一时而传播中外。本文仅对阳明心学的来龙去脉及其思想主旨作一概论,以求教方家。一追本溯源,心学源出孟子。孟子生当“大国争霸,百家争鸣”的战国中期,怀着强烈的文化使命感,自觉继承孔子的“仁学”而充当“圣人之徒”,力行其“正人心,息邪说……以承三圣”(《孟子·滕文公下》)的文化传承理想,正是中国古代知识分子“忧患意识”的典型体
