抑制肿瘤相关基因的表达一直是肿瘤基因治疗的一条重要思路。研究发现:STAT3在口腔颌面部鳞状细胞癌的发生、发展中具有重要作用。利用具有基因沉默作用的小分子RNA(siRNA)抑制STAT3的异常高表达,阻断STAT3介导的信号传递途径,促进肿瘤细胞的凋亡或逆转恶性表现型,从而达到治疗口腔颌面部鳞状细胞癌的作用。
