山东贾汪煤田附近四周高山,都是寒武奥陶纪地层所构成,露头清楚,层序整齐,最适合研究地层的地方。该地寒武奥陶纪地层,按其岩性及化石来说,可与南满及华北相比。兹分别叙述如下: 中奥陶纪地层,即马家沟灰岩,出露於煤田的边缘,厚约300-400米。顶上与石炭纪地层的含铁质紫红色泥质页岩成假整合接触,底下与贾汪页岩成整合接触。本层上部呈灰褐色厚层状灰岩,产Actinoceras sp.及Asaphus sp.。下部是灰色薄层矽质灰岩,未获化石。下奥陶纪地层,即分成贾汪页岩与三山子灰岩,前者说是页岩,实在是一种薄层状土黄色含泥质灰岩,厚约12米。後者原系谢家荣教授所命名,是一种灰或灰白色
The surrounding mountains around Jiawang Coalfield in Shandong Province are all formed by the Ordovician Cambrian strata of Cambrian. They are well-defined and well-ordered and most suitable for studying the strata.
