我们电渣焊工部的同志,在去年国庆节前夕,用电焊重熔方法,炼出了我国第一只一百吨重的大钢锭。这只钢锭有两个半人高,四个人合抱那么粗。什么叫“电渣重熔”呢?就是把许多小钢锭,在高温电渣液体里,重新溶化,炼成大钢锭。钢水通过电渣液体,可以去掉里面的气体和杂质,使钢锭质量大大提高。电渣重熔百吨钢锭这一仗,我们运用了制造万吨水压机的经验,坚持走我国自己的道路。边试验、边设计、边制造,从小试验算起,直到第一只一百吨钢锭的诞生,前后花了两年半时间,总共只花了一百二十万
Our comrades in the Electroslag Welding Department, on the eve of last year’s National Day, used the electric remelting method to refine the first large-scale steel ingot with a weight of one hundred tons. This steel ingot is two-and-a-half-high, and four people are so cohesive. What is called “electroslag remelting”? That is to say, many small steel ingots are remelted in high-temperature electro-slag liquids and refined into large steel ingots. Molten steel through the electroslag liquid, you can remove the gas and impurities inside, so that the quality of steel ingots greatly improved. In the case of electroslag remelting 100 tons of steel ingots, we have used our experience in manufacturing 10,000 tons of hydraulic presses and persisted in our country’s own path. It took about two and a half years before the first 100-ton steel ingots were counted from the trials, edge designs, and edge manufacturing, and a total of only 1.2 million was spent.
