Many people ask: What can I eat to help prevent breast cancer? By searching the literature, I did not find any kind of food that can specifically prevent breast cancer. However, eating it right does affect the risk of breast cancer. A number of staple food studies have found that eating whole grains can reduce the risk of breast cancer in women. After 22 years of follow-up investigations by more than 90,000 women, Harvard Nutrition researchers found that eating white bread increases the risk of breast cancer, while whole grain foods such as brown rice (non-refined rice seeds) can reduce risk.
