饲料是鱼类生长的主要物质基础。利用鸡粪作配合颗粒饲料养鱼,是解决饲料不足的新途径之一。我场从1983年7月开始,利用鸡粪养鱼,取得了较好的效果。1983年全场共用鱼饲料33.7万斤(其中鸡粪3.76万斤),虽比1982年多用7万多斤,但全场总上市商品鱼,1983年比1982年多5万多斤,平均每亩上市鱼1024斤,第一年超千斤。有两个鱼塘(共25亩)的亩净产在1500斤以上。不仅总产、单产高,而且鱼长得肥,1982年上市的商品鱼中,不满斤的白鲢超过10%,而1983年少于5%。饵料系数1983年为1.8,1982年为2.1,也比较低,各类鱼体重也普遍比1982年重,渔业收入17.77万元,净收入2.78万元
