The mineralization of McClelze’s elongated, flat lens ore (average grade 1.8% U_3O_8) was produced on the unconformity between the Athabasca sandstone and the underlying Archean / Lower Proterozoic Affymetrix basement . The ~ (40) Ar / ~ (39) Ar laser probe and K / Ar routine analysis data were based on illites collected from the following environments: ① Erosional halo around high mineralization of U (-Ni-Co) Circle; ② reclaimed sedimentary rock within the sandstone system; ③ interstitial sandstone quartz particles and ④ weathering layer. The illite in the altered halo is obtained at ages of 1321 ± 44 and 1002 ± 33Ma (n = 20), which is consistent with the other uranium deposits in the area
